Radiography & Ultrasound Testing in Panama City, FL
Understanding your pet’s pain and discomfort can be challenging. With our advanced diagnostic tools and blood tests, we can detect diseases, parasites, and other health issues that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
Radiology
Radiographs, often called x-rays, are invaluable for determining the best treatment plan for your pet. If a lump or abnormality is discovered during an annual wellness exam, x-rays can reveal its size, shape, and location. They also assist veterinarians in identifying foreign objects in the body, such as non-digestible material in the stomach, as well as diagnosing gastrointestinal issues, heart and lung diseases, and bladder stones.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound offers a real-time view inside your pet’s body, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as cardiac diseases and general biopsies. When used independently, it provides a straightforward, stress-free method for organ biopsies. At Agape Animal Hospital, we utilize state-of-the-art ultrasound technology in our facilities.
Diagnostic Lab
Though we often see them as family members, our furry friends can’t always communicate their pain, discomfort, or illness. Regular blood tests allow us to detect diseases, parasites, and other health issues that might otherwise go unnoticed.
At Agape Animal Hospital, our comprehensive in-house lab can conduct a variety of blood tests, including glucose levels, chemistry panels, and complete blood counts. We also offer pre-anesthetic blood testing.
For more extensive diagnostic needs, we partner with a centralized reference lab to ensure accurate and timely results.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that enables your veterinarian to examine the interior surfaces of your pet’s organs. It uses a flexible video camera that is inserted into specific areas of the body to investigate internal conditions. Although anesthesia is necessary to sedate your pet for accurate assessment, this procedure is considered less invasive than many other diagnostic methods and typically requires minimal recovery time. Endoscopy is often utilized when blood, radiograph, ultrasound, and urine tests don’t yield the answers needed for a clear diagnosis.
Video Otoscopy
Video otoscopy, much like endoscopy, is a diagnostic procedure that employs an otoscope to capture detailed images of the interior of your pet’s ear.
